Academic Support

The staff at the Children’s Center for Growth and Development has extensive experience within local school districts in developing Individualized Educational Programs (IEP’s) as well as supporting success within the classroom through the implementation of strategies and consulting with teachers.

CCGD believes that each learner has their own challenges and strengths. Through collaboration we can focus on strengthening the areas of need for each individual student. Our academic support staff is prepared to provide a variety of academic options structured according to the individual needs of each student.

For students with current IEP’s your child will be placed with the appropriate certified therapist or teacher to coordinate supplemental activities to help your child reach their goals. For students without IEP’s but continue to struggle in various academic areas a certified teacher will provide individualized instruction to support continued learning.

Some areas that are commonly addressed include:

  • Study Skills
  • Test Taking Strategies
  • Note Taking
  • Time Mangagement
  • Writing
  • Reading Instruction/Comprehension

Academic support services are provided in a variety of formats including one on one intensive sessions utilizing specific intervention strategies or small groups for enrichment, extension and remediation.

Our goal is for each student to reach their full academic potential.
