Evaluation

If you suspect that your child has a disorder or delay, upon retaining our services you can expect comprehensive evaluations to assess your child’s speech and language skills as well as motor skills and provide a professional diagnosis.

After your evaluation is complete, a speech or occupational therapist will meet with you and your family to help explain the evaluation results. The evaluation is thoroughly reviewed and appropriate recommendations are made. These recommendations may include enrollment into an individualized family based therapy program. We will discuss recommended therapy goals and suggestions for home practice.

Depending on the area of difficulty, full and complete evaluations typically last between one and three hours. A comprehensive report is sent to the family within three weeks of the completion of the evaluation.
