Sensory Fun - A variety of ways to engage your child in Sensory Play!
These camps are designed for the child that struggles with sensory challenges that impact their day to day life experiences.
For the child that is impacted by sensory challenges with food, our Little Chefs Fun with Food camp provides activities and strategies to reduce picky eating behaviors. The focus of this camp is FUN in the kitchen! Led by our Occupational Therapist, your child will explore different textures in food as well as a food experiment or two that will educate and encourage your child to try new things!
Another food related camp we are offering this year is Food Explorers! This camp is for the older child, 7-10 years of age, that struggles with picky eating, food anxiety, or a limited number of foods they will eat that has led to meals that are not balanced. In a scientific fashion, we will explore food, it's nutrients and what our bodies need to do the things that are important to them. We will work towards building well rounded meal plans with the foods they will eat and making healthy choices. Exploration and fun science experimentation with food will make this class fun and engaging for your camper!
Our Cardio Drumming camp led by our Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist is our newest addition to our summer programs! This camp is a fun and engaging way to work on strengh, coordination and whole body movement for meeting the child that needs to move! This camp will work on a variety of skills while having fun. We have a few suprises up our sleeves for this camp!
Our Kamp Kindergarten program will also include sessions that work on sensory integration challenges for children entering Kindergarten in the fall. Your child will practice sitting in a group, using strategies to help with task completion and following directions.
